Amazon launches Kindle book-lending service. 11,000 US libraries participating

Here we go. Rumors some weeks ago spreaded, and now it's confirmed.
Amazon is lending eBooks. You don't even need a Kindle. You just need an Amazon-account. Imagine you can go with your tablet or phone to a public library, and lent a book. Looks like this just materialized out of thin air.
